It has been almost 18 months since the travel education industry was brought to a halt by the outbreak of COVD-19. During that time, the Canada Partnership Forum (CPF) continued to run virtual events to provide higher Canadian higher education training and networking to educational agents around the world.
As we move into the fall recruitment season, we would like to thank all our Canadian and international partners who joined us to keep the Canadian international education sector alive over the past year and a half. Between May 2020 and June 2021, CPF hosted over 60 unique events showcasing our top pathway partners to more than 3000 educational agents in diverse markets.
Each Canada Partnership Forum (CPF) provided updates and training for 50-200 agents in Western Europe, Central Europe, the CIS region, Brazil, Vietnam, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, China, Korea, Turkey, Japan, LATAM, Philippines, Middle East and India.
In one year and half, virtual CPF events managed to feature 50+ colleges and universities across Canada, selected for their unique program offering, new opportunities for students and regional immigration incentives.
The partner schools represented over the past 18 months have included Georgian College, Kwantlen Polytechnic University, George Brown College, Vancouver Community College, Niagara College, Centennial College, Douglas College, Seneca College, TRU, Trent University, Sheridan College, Humber College, Conestoga College, St. Lawrence College, Vancouver Film School, Confederation College, Selkirk College, Okanagan College, Durham College, Camosun College, University of the Fraser Valley, NYIT, SAIT, LaSalle College, Capilano University, St. Clair College, New College of Caledonia, Fleming College, Red Deer College, MITT, University of Winnipeg, Saskatchewan Polytechnic University, Cambrian College, Brock University, NBCC, Cape Breton University, Sault College, Royal Roads University, Fanshawe College, Lambton College, Ontario Tech University, University of Regina, Yukon University, College of the North Atlantic, Algonquin College, Braemar College, Columbia College, Bow Valley College, Ryerson University and University of Windsor.
Many of the Virtual CPFs also included special guests from across the industry, such as the Canadian Embassy, Languages Canada, Immigration consultants, AMS, Edvisor, regional agency associations, Air Transat, Air Canada, Apply Board, social influencers, instructors and current/past students.
CPF also introduced new ILAC Education Group schools and updates to agents, including ILAC, ILAC IC, ILAC CTC, Sterling/Red Deer College, Georgian@ILAC and IELTS.
Overall, the feedback from agents has been positive, and some have even said they prefer virtual events because more staff can attend, and they need to take time off work or spend money on travel. However, most agents look forward to the annual in-person Canada Partnership Forums, the last one which was held in Vancouver 2019.
